Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Find A Tradie website at findatradie.co and related services. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. What Find A Tradie does
Find A Tradie is a referral service. We help homeowners describe a job, identify the right trade, and connect them with licensed, verified tradies in their area. We are not a contractor, employer, or party to any agreement between you and a tradie.
We do not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any work performed by a tradie. The relationship between you and the tradie is a direct one — we facilitate the introduction.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Find A Tradie. By submitting a job, you confirm that you are the property owner or have authority to request work at the specified location.
3. Job submissions
When you submit a job request:
- You agree to provide accurate contact information and a truthful description of the work needed.
- Your job details (description, location, urgency) will be shared with matched tradies so they can provide a quote.
- Your contact details (name, phone, email) will be shared with tradies matched to your job.
- Submitting a job is free and creates no obligation to accept any quote or proceed with any work.
4. Tradie verification
We check that tradies on our platform hold the correct licence for their trade category as listed with NSW Fair Trading, and we screen for complaints on Verify NSW. However:
- Licence and complaint checks are point-in-time. A tradie's status can change after we verify them.
- We recommend you independently verify a tradie's licence on Verify NSW before engaging them for work.
- Verification does not constitute a warranty, endorsement, or guarantee of a tradie's work quality, reliability, or insurance status.
5. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Matched tradies will respond, provide a quote, or be available
- The AI-generated job analysis will be accurate or complete
- Any tradie's work will meet any particular standard
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Find A Tradie is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
- The work, conduct, or omissions of any tradie matched through our service
- Any dispute between you and a tradie
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed job matching
- Any loss of data or service interruption
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information when submitting a job.
- Do not submit fraudulent, misleading, or spam job requests.
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Check a tradie's licence and insurance independently before engaging them.
8. Intellectual property
All content on Find A Tradie — including the website design, text, graphics, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
